Summer Session

The summer session is offered to enhance and further the study of Piano Technology. The session is available to those who have graduated from studies in piano technology and/or practicing technicians.

When

The first session will be offered from April 27th - May 22nd 2009. The fee for the session is $1950.00 CAD. Second session dates and topic TBA. Further information as to course content of Session 1 can be found below.

Session 1

Participants will strip the piano to its "bare bones" and then rebuild it. Repairs will be made to the soundboard, new bridge caps will be carved and the pinblock and strings replaced. Students will learn to work with all of the tools required for these procedures.
